Dear Sirs,

Since the founding of Toho International Inc., in 1988, I have served as president for 33 years and 9 months, which is 34 fiscal years. Then, I handed over the position of president to Katsuya Tobinaga on September 21st., 2021 which is the beginning of the 35th fiscal year.

These 33 years began with the collapse of the bubble economy in 1991, followed by the Asian economic crisis in 1997, the collapse of the I.T. bubble in 2001, and the Lehman shock in 2008 which is new to memory, and followed by the appreciation of yen of 75 yen to the dollar in 2011. I think that there were many events that were extremely difficult in terms of the business environment.

In addition, we were struck by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake(Kobe Great Earthquake) of 1995 and the GreatEast Japan Earthquake of 2011. I think that Toho was trained and strengthened by the mercy of the economic crisis and natural disasters as well.

And now, the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus is pushing unprecedented changes to the world. The economic crisis and natural disasters have changed Toho and strengthened us. This time, an invisible disaster called plague brought the change of president in Toho.

Toho has continued to grow by using the crisis as an energy of change. We will continue to aim for further heights and changes. Please look forward to the new Toho with the new president. I sincerely appreciate your continued support and cooperation with Toho International Inc.

On September 21, 2021, I was appointed president of Toho International Inc.
I am succeeding Hirobumi Nakazaki, the former president, who built up our company with the great support of our customers and business partners.

While the spread of coronavirus infection has not yet subsided, I was appointed during the time of a great industrial transformation that has created huge changes in the automobile industry and a rapid penetration of the digital society. I have a strong feeling that I must definitely achieve a revolution for the future success of our company.

It is time to maximize the power of small and medium-sized companies that support Japan's employment and economy in a severe economic situation.
We will devote ourselves to the development of Toho International with continuous efforts as a trading company specialized in the wire & cable industry.
In addition, we would like to carry out new initiatives that utilize digital technology as part of our transformation.

We aim to create an organization where employees can work globally with a sense of challenge and satisfaction, even for small and medium-sized companies, and to become the most trusted and valuable trading company for our customers and business partners.

Having developed by specializing in the wire & cable industry, we will continue to contribute to the development and growth of the industry and create an organization that can contribute to improving the international competitiveness of the industry.
