On September 21, 2021, I assumed the position of President and Representative Director of Toho International Co., Ltd. As the new president, I have inherited Toho International, which was founded by the former president Hirofumi Nakasaki and built up under the tremendous support of Our Valuesd business partners.
My appointment comes at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has yet to be contained, and during a period of industrial transformation marked by significant changes in the automotive industry and the rapid penetration of digital society. I feel tremendous pressure and have a strong determination to realize the transformation that our company must undergo for its future.
It is precisely in challenging times that small and medium-sized enterprises, which support Japan's employment and economy, must demonstrate their full potential. Through continuous and relentless effort, I am committed to dedicating all my energy to the development of Toho International as a specialized trading company. I also intend to implement new initiatives utilizing digital technology as part of this transformation.
Even as a small and medium-sized enterprise, we aim to create an organization where employees can work globally with a spirit of challenge and fulfillment, becoming the most accessible and valuable trading company for our business partners.
Having specialized and developed in the wire & cable industry, we will continue to contribute to the industry's development and growth, creating an organization that can contribute to enhancing the industry's international competitiveness.
